What is the Sales Funnel?

A marketing funnel isn't an actual funnel. The term, "funnel", is used to visualize and explain the entire sales process. The term funnel is a term used to describe the sales process due to its wider entry path for "Unqualified Prospects" as well as a smaller opening for converts at the bottom.

We may call these "unqualified prospects" at the top or at the beginning of the funnel. These are the people who might need your services or products however haven't been contacted by you before. After a few sales and promotions, you will have gotten people who have purchased your product or service.

Another reason why a lead-generation funnel concept is efficient is that it lets you track potential customers at various stages in the expanded sales process. The sales funnel allows you to anticipate the amount of potential customers that will ultimately become customers by calculating the qualified prospects at each stage.

The sales funnel lets you to determine the areas where your sales strategy is not working and where it is succeeding. It also helps you determine if your campaign isn't reaching the right customers. This will help you to determine where to focus your efforts to help reach your goals in marketing. It is used to gauge and manage the sales process of customers.

The Sales Funnel Top - Front - End

Your top sales funnel is your most active and most important area in your process. It is constantly tested. There is no limit of front-end concepts. Your imagination and resources are the only limitations.

The primary goal of the front-end will be to attract potential clients and convert them into buyers later on in the sales process.

Once a prospective client decides to sign up for your offering, they are "qualified". This is when the prospect or "Unqualified Lead" becomes qualified. It's because they took an action that indicates that they might be interested in purchasing your product or services.

Your front-end must be able bring targeted traffic to your website or blog. Article marketing, PPC ads, social media (Google+ Twitter, Facebook, YouTube) banners, and blogging are the most effective methods and resources to do this.

There are a variety of tools that can be used to "qualify prospects who aren't qualified". The most efficient is the squeeze page. You can provide something valuable that is related to your product/service that people are able to get for free or at a drastically reduced price in exchange of their email. The products included include newsletters, videos ebooks, email courses, eBooks and related reports.

We can realize that the front end of your sales funnel is where folks are drawn to your sales funnel. What about the back end?

The Bottom of The Funnel: The Back-End

The bottom, or back end, of the funnel is where the majority of profit and sales take place. You will usually find the higher-priced products in this area. Basically these would be relevant to the same niche but presented in a different format such as video, audio, live interaction or private consultation.

The primary difference between the front-end and back-end is the type of client, as well as the cost of the product or services being provided.

It is the case that only a small percent, maybe 1 to 2 percent of the people who enter your front-end will be able to make it into your back-end. Because a few people will invest more, that's fine.

It is evident that, although front-end products and services may cost under $100, back-end items and services typically cost in the 100s or 1000's. This make the bottom or back end of the funnel sales funnel to be the main source of revenue for your Internet company, and it's the most reliable and stable part of the sales process.

The sales funnel is as simple or complex as you want it to be, so long you have the proper resources and the right ideas.
